Brooks Falls Trip is typically available June 24th through July 31st. It is different than the regular Bear Tour
If you are looking for the iconic bear catching jumping salmon then this is the trip for you! The trip begins with a float plane flight to Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park. Once we land on the lake you will go to the visitor center for a Bear Etiquette film and briefing given by the Rangers at Brooks Camp, next you hike to the falls and view bears from the safety of platforms built by the National Park Service. The main falls platform is about a 1.5 mile walk from the Visitor Center. You walk at your own pace here and there are outhouses and other facilities.
The Air Taxi flight is approximately 1.6 hours each way and you will spend approximately 3.5-4 hours on the ground as the pilot waits for you to complete your trip!
Total trip length is 7 hours!
(weather can affect time you spend on the ground!)

The Coastal Bear Viewing tour is available: June 1st through 23rd
Your trip Meets at our Beluga lake office to get Hip boots, next we go to the Homer Airport where we depart in a wheeled Bush Plane. The plane flies past volcanoes and glaciers enroute to the Bear Viewing locations.
The exact location will change throughout the season as the bears follow their food source.
We go to either Katmai or Lake Clark National Parks depending on Bear activity, weather and tides usually with a wheeled bush plane landing on the beach.
Please note: a Floatplane may be substituted if the Pilot/Guide determines the location would be better accessed with floats! (this is not typical)
Often the location will be decided the day of your trip!
Your Pilot/Guide will narrate as your group walks among the bears. Your group will be positioned in the best place for photographing the bears with safety as number 1 priority!!!
Your group will spend approximately 3 hours on the ground and then load up for the return flight to Homer!
Total trip length is 6 hours!

Late Summer Bear Viewing is available: August 1st through September 31st
Your trip Meets at our Beluga lake office to get Hip boots, Depending on location we may depart from the office at the lake or from the Airport. The plane flies past volcanoes and glaciers enroute to the Bear Viewing locations.
Late summer brings changes to the Brown Bears!
As the berries ripen and Salmon Runs change our trips change locations to follow the bears. Our location could be Along the Coast or on a Creek or River deep in the heart of Katmai or Lake Clark National Parks where you may walk several miles to view The bears with your Pilot/Guide.
Occasionally the Bears stick around the Brooks Falls area, so our trip could possibly go there too.
(Note : if we go to Brooks Falls the trip will be Ranger guided as the pilot waits for you to return)
We adjust our trip locations to get our clients the best Bear Viewing possible!!! Often the location will be decided the day of your trip!
Your group will spend approximately 3 hours on the ground and then load up for the return flight to Homer!
Total trip length is 7 hours!
